HEAD-MOUNTED TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a position of an object of a real-world by using single outside view information acquisition means in a head-mounted type display device.SOLUTION: A head-mounted type display device allowing a user to visually identify a virtual image and an outside view comprises: an image display section causing the user to visually identify the virtual image; an outside view acquisition section acquiring outside view information including at least a feature of the outside view in a view direction of the user; a position estimation section estimating a position of any target object existing in a real-world on the basis of at least two pieces of the outside view information acquired with time by the outside view acquisition section; and an augmented-reality processing section imparting augmented-reality to the user by forming the virtual image representing the virtual object for augmenting the target object on the basis of the position of the target object estimated on the image display section.
