<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation device capable of implementing at least either acceleration of a reading speed or quality improvement of generated image data in configuration using a white light source, and an image generation method.SOLUTION: While using outputs D1st, D2nd and D3rd per unit time from sensors, bottom output values of control systems (an LED control system and first and second combination control systems) are calculated under a condition of no saturation (S5). Such a control system as to maximize the bottom output value is selected (S6). It is determined whether the bottom output value of the selected control system is equal to or greater than a reference value (S7). If it is equal to or greater than the reference value, a control parameter is set (S9), reading is performed according to the selected control system (S10), and image data are generated on the basis of the read output from the sensors (S11). If the bottom output value is neither equal to nor greater than the reference value, a shift time Ts is prolonged forΔt (S8).</p> |
