<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly start fixation control, when the power supply of an image forming apparatus is turned on or the image forming apparatus is recovered from a sleep state.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: an image carrier 125; a transfer roller 210 which comes into press-contact with the image carrier 125, to form a transfer nip part N1 through which a paper sheet passes and transfers a toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier 125 to the paper sheet in the transfer nip part N1; a fixing part 13 which is arranged on the downstream side of the transfer nip part N1 and nips, heats, and pressurizes the paper sheet separated from the image carrier 125 and conveyed in a fixing nip part N2, to fix the toner image to the paper sheet; a first paper sensor 81 which detects the presence or absence of the paper sheet on the paper conveyance upstream side of the fixing part 13; a second paper sensor 82 which detects the presence or absence of the paper sheet on the paper conveyance downstream side of the fixing part 13; and a control part 100 which determines the heating control start of the fixing part 13 on the basis of the detection signals of the first and second paper sensors 81 and 82, when the power supply is turned on or recovery from the sleep state is performed.</p> |
