<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image display device in which a virtual image does not look small even if a display distance from an eye of a driver to a virtual image is long, and luminance unevenness is low.SOLUTION: In a virtual image display device, scanning means is configured to scan light from a light source, and thereby an intermediate image is formed on a screen. Reflection means is configured to reflect scanning light corresponding to the intermediate image, which reaches an eye of an observer. Thereby, the observer views a virtual image corresponding to the intermediate image on the screen. The screen is configured to move between the scanning means and the reflection means, which in turn changes a location of the virtual image to be viewed by the observer. The locations of the scanning means and the eye of the observer have an optically conjugate relationship, and thus, luminance unevenness does not occur. Further, even if the screen is moved to change the location of the virtual image, an angle of view of the virtual image does not change, which in turn does not make it hard to view a content of the virtual image even when causing the virtual image to be displayed away.</p> |
