<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position estimation device, a position estimation method, and a program which allow a position of a sensing object to be estimated more easily.SOLUTION: A position estimation device includes: a sensor unit in which a plurality of sensors for transmitting a transmission wave and a receiving a reflected wave from an object are provided in almost the same position so that the transmission wave is different in frequency among the sensors and reception power characteristics for the reflected wave is different in directivity direction among the sensors; a generation unit which generates beat signals on the basis of the transmission wave transmitted from and the reflected wave received by each sensor, which are observed by the sensor unit; a distance estimation unit which estimates a distance from the installation position to the object on the basis of the plurality of beat signals generated by the generation unit; and an orientation estimation unit which estimates an orientation of the object viewed from the installation position on the basis of characteristics of directivity of the plurality of sensors, angular differences between directivity directions of the plurality of sensors, and powers of the reflected wave received by the plurality of sensors.</p> |
