The present product is based on zinc oxide, bee wax and honey. It is used in the medical and pharmaceutical area for treating damaged skin and tissue. Related to other products used in skin injure, the invention being highly compatible thereto due to the similarity of its composition, it is not occlusive and allows the skin to perspire, and it is a more affordable and versatile substance with the following advantages: with antimicrobial, antifungal and antiseptic properties, being astringent, anti-inflammatory, emollient and/or protective, being intended to nourish the skin tissue, being a lubricant and moisturizer; earlier studies have demonstrated that a wound is healed in a reduced period of time when being in a humid environment instead of a dry environment, (Winter 1962) the aforementioned condition promoting the healing, epithelization and angiogenesis of the wound. The grams being specifics in the present composition for maintaining the physical and chemical characteristics of normal skin (degree of humidity, pH) and improving the specific and unspecific defense mechanisms. The composition has a viscous consistency, a good tolerance (not causing irritation or sensitivity in the wound and surrounding skin), presenting inertia with the active principles (physical and chemical compatibility), stability before environmental factors for guaranteeing its preservation and optimum consistency so that it can be spread over the skin in an easy manner in order to favor the penetration of the concentration, its technology uses a quick and easy technology. |
