<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that user's convenience is impaired when the communication speed is set to a low speed for power saving, as in the prior art, because a user may prefer communication with highest communication speed to reduction of power consumption.SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus having a power saving function for reducing power consumption, and a control method thereof, a determination is made whether or not the apparatus of a communication destination corresponds to the power saving function, and when a determination is made that the apparatus of a communication destination does not correspond to the power saving function, the user is made to set an operation mode, and communication with the apparatus of destination is established according to the operation mode thus set.</p> |
