<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding agent that can materialize an excellent binding strength of fiber glass and powdery glass.SOLUTION: The binding agent comprising polymer having hydroxyl group is provided in which the polymer comprises a structural unit derived from unsaturated carboxylic acid-type monomer and a structural unit represented by general formula (1), the ratio of molar equivalents of the carboxyl groups (including salt of carboxyl group and anhydride of carboxyl group) and hydroxyl groups contained in the polymer is 1:0.01 to 1:3, and 0 to 35 mol% of the carboxyl groups contained in the polymer is neutralized. (Ris a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; Ris a methylene group, an ethylene group or a direct bond; Rmay be the same or different and is C2 to 20 alkylene group; n is an average addition mole number of oxyalkylene group (-R-O-) and is a number of 1 to 80.).</p> |
