PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage information on inspection results more efficiently by a system which inspects a result of image formation output based upon differences between a read image and an image for inspection.SOLUTION: An image inspection device is characterized in: inspecting a read image on the basis of a result of comparison between the read image and a master image; storing information on an inspection result of the read image in a storage medium; and updating timing information as information for determining timing when the information on the inspection result as information included in information on a related inspection result is deleted from the storage medium when the image on which the inspected read image is based is re-printed while related to the information on the inspection result, so that the timing when the information on the related inspection result is deleted from the storage medium is prolonged.
