The present invention relates to a novel compound and a light-emitting device including the same. According to the present invention, the light-emitting device comprises: a first electrode; a second electrode; a light-emitting layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; a hole-transporting layer disposed between the first electrode and the light-emitting layer; and a blocking layer disposed between the hole-transporting layer and the light-emitting layer, and including a compound represented by chemical formula 1.
