The present invention relates to an artificial wetland by connecting a plurality of unit treatment tanks (10) installed with a vegetation material (30) on the upper part, capable of blocking inflow of a cargo box (20) of back washing water during back washing of a light filter (20), by constructing the light filter (20) inside the unit treatment tank (10) installing the cargo box (50) loaded with the vegetation material (30) on the upper part, forming upstream in treatment water inside the unit treatment tank (10), and purifying the treatment water filtered through the light filter (20) by being contacted with purifying plants in the cargo box (50), and opening and shutting a base plate of the cargo box (50). According to the present invention, the wetland is capable of fundamentally solving a problem of back washing operation of a filter, which is a problem of maintenance regarding the conventional filter-type artificial wetland, blocking secondary pollution of the vegetation material (30) and purifying plants can be generated in a back washing process, semi-permanently using while completely maintaining a function of a wetland, thereby significantly improving treatment performance of the artificial wetland and convenience of maintenance, and significantly reducing operation costs of the artificial wetland.
