<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam switch capable of switching over cams without entailing the size increase of the switch.SOLUTION: A cam switch 10 for making variable the valve characteristics of an intake/exhaust valve V by selectively switching over between cams 12 and 13, comprises: an inner cam shaft 11A rotating to be interlocked with a crankshaft; an outer cam shaft 11B spline-fitted onto an outer circumference of the inner cam shaft 11A and provided so that cams 12 and 13 are integrally rotatable; a hydraulic drive mechanism 20 axially, slidably moving the outer cam shaft 11B and selectively switching over between the cams 12 and 13; and a cylinder halt mechanism 40 halting opening/closing operation of the intake/exhaust valve V to be able to halt a corresponding cylinder, the cylinder halt mechanism 40 halting the cylinder and the hydraulic drive mechanism 20 axially, slidably moving the outer cam shaft 11B at a time of switching over between the cams 12 and 13.</p> |
