The purpose of the present invention is to significantly reduce cost for reducing the number of piping monitoring sensors, the installation costs of the sensors, and the maintenance cost after installation. To achieve this, the present invention relates to a piping monitoring system in piping which can be expanded or contracted by heat from an operation in a thermal / nuclear power plant or a petrochemical plant using high temperature steam and fluid. The piping monitoring system comprises: a first step for making the piping into groups based on the displacement directing point of each node; a second step for classifying the displacement characteristics by node and group based on the size; a third step for determining the size limit of the displacement characteristics by group; and a displacement meter installed on the node in the range of the size limit. |
