PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality display device.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a display device includes a plurality of first to third wiring lines, a plurality of switch elements, a plurality of pixel electrodes, a display layer, and a control unit. The first wiring lines extend in a first direction. The second and third wiring lines extend in a second direction. The switch elements are connected to the first wiring lines and to the second wiring lines. The pixel electrodes are connected to the switching elements. The display layer performs optical operation based on an electric signal given to the pixel electrodes. The control unit carries out, in a display period, first operation of supplying an image signal to the second wiring lines while setting the first wiring lines to a selected potential, setting a selected pixel electrode to an image potential, and setting the third wiring lines to a display counter potential. The control unit carries out, in a non-display period, second operation of equalizing a potential of the second wiring lines to the potential of the third wiring lines. |
