PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of strengthened cover glass having unprecedented strength, and the strengthened cover glass, as well as a production method of strengthened cover glass integrated with a touch sensor, and the strengthened cover glass integrated with the touch sensor.SOLUTION: In a production method of strengthened cover glass: firstly a blank glass board is cut into glass boards 10 with a desired size (cutting step); an end face 10C of the glass board 10 is polished with polishing means (polishing step); flaws on the end face 10C causing a crack are removed, roughness of the end face 10C is reduced and next the glass board 10 is chemically strengthened with a chemical strengthening method (chemical strengthening step); and next the end face 10C of the glass board 10 is etching treated (etching step). In the production method of the strengthened cover glass, an entire face of the end face 10C is uniformly etching treated because the polishing step is provided as a preceding step of the etching step. Consequently the strengthened cover glass 10 having unprecedented bending strength can be obtained by the production method of the strengthened cover glass. |
