The purpose of the present invention is to improve the image quality of a display device. A display panel is provided with a panel substrate (213) and a film (211). In the display panel, a plurality of light emitting elements (212) is provided on the panel substrate. In the display panel, the film is made of a material having a predetermined refractive index. The thickness of the film is determined in accordance with: a substrate end distance which is from the light emitting element nearest to the end of the panel substrate among the plurality of light emitting elements to the end of the panel substrate; a view angle capable of creating brightness satisfying a certain level; and the refractive index.
