<p>A safety apparatus of a crosswalk according to one embodiment of the present invention include a traffic light which is installed on each support member which is adjacently installed to face the crosswalk, an interface unit which is installed on each support member and has an illumination sensor, and a laser beam device which is connected to the traffic light and is operated. If the illumination value sensed by the illumination sensor is below a preset illumination value and the traffic light is a pedestrian signal, the laser beam device emits a laser beam. Therefore, the safety apparatus of the crosswalk and the operating method thereof according to one embodiment of the present invention warns a driver to stop for the pedestrian by making the driver feel overwhelmed by alternatively emitting the laser beam from both areas of the opposite side of the crosswalk by including the laser beam device which is operated by being connected to a red light of the traffic light for a vehicle which represents a stop indication according as the traffic light installed near the crosswalk is successively turned on and off.</p> |
