A heater core (18) is disposed tilted relative to the direction of air flow so that a first header tank (182) is offset downstream in the direction of air flow from a second header tank (183). Consequently, when a first heating section (185) is closed by a first air mixing door (24), the stagnation of air occurs downstream of the first heating section (185) at a position between a second partition wall (124) and the downstream side section (185b) of the first heating section (185), and air is not easily warmed downstream of the first heating section (185). Similarly, air is also not easily warmed in a second air flow passage (126) at a position upstream of a second heating section (186). As a result of this configuration, the maximum cooling performance of an air conditioning unit (10) for a vehicle is prevented from degrading due to heat from the heater core (18). |
