A spherical carbon nanotube group, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The spherical carbon nanotube group is formed by placing carbon nanotubes into a rotating device and then agglomerating the disorderly-wound carbon nanotubes into orderly-interwoven groups by rotation; the group has a particle size of 0.1-3 microns and is spherical or bar-shaped. The preparation method comprises: grinding carbon nanotubes and a grinding medium in a grinder to form powders consisting of spherical carbon nanotube groups, or grinding by a grinding device free from the grinding medium, so as to form the powders consisting of the carbon nanotube groups; or carrying out high-pressure gas impact crushing on the carbon nanotubes by a jet mill, so as to form the powders consisting of the carbon nanotube groups. The spherical carbon nanotube group can be used as an electrically conductive agent or a thermally conductive agent for lithium batteries, high polymer materials, coatings and paints. The spherical carbon nanotube group is simple in preparation process, excellent in dispersing performance, can be directly added to matrix materials, stable and uniform in properties and easy to form a conductive network. |
