<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit and a projector having a light source of high luminance by a plurality of number of laser light emitters for visual rays with large outputs, a light source retaining etendue to be small and capable of forming a bright image with good color reproducibility by adding a complementary color. <P>SOLUTION: A light source unit 60 includes: a light emission plate with a phosphor layer for emitting yellow color wavelength band light; a first light source for emitting blue color wavelength band light; a second light source for emitting green color wavelength band light; a dichroic mirror for radiation; driving means for light emission plate for alternately positioning a transmission section and a reflection section of the light emission plate; a third light source for emitting red color wavelength band light; light source control means for controlling the lighting of the first light source, the second light source, and the third light source and the driving of the light emission plate by the driving means for the light emission plate; and a light guiding optical system 140 for matching an optical axis of dispersed transmission light emitted from the light emission plate, an optical axis of the light from the phosphor light, and an optical axis of the light from the third light source in the same direction and guiding to one prescribed surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
