<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that reduces air resistance to be generated when the direction of the conditioned air blown out of an air outlet is deflected in a wide range, and prevents an increase in front-rear dimension of a body. <P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, a body 1 includes a suction port 2 and an air outlet 3, a heat exchanger 4 and a cross-flow fan 5 are arranged in an air passage connecting the suction port 2 and the air outlet 3, and conditioned air subjected to heat exchange with refrigerant by the heat exchanger 4 is blown out of the air outlet 3. A hollow plate-like blowout nozzle 13 which has an outlet facing forward of the air outlet 3 at a rear end of an upper surface, and is provided successively with a coanda surface and a diffuser surface before the jet port is provided at a lower edge part of the air outlet 3, and an air blower is arranged at one side part in the body 1.
