Apparatus for management of communications resources of a moving platform, such as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the communications resources comprising wireless communications links and associated antennas and configured to effect wireless data communication via an antenna. The apparatus comprises an antenna analysis and selection module that receives attribute data representative of emissions control criteria associated with the moving platform and/or another node and determines, using the attribute data, suitability of one or more antennas and/or aperture portion antennas for effecting communications based on the emissions control criteria. The apparatus determines a quality metric for each of the antennas / aperture portion antennas, the quality metric being indicative of a respective performance criterion, and selects one or more of the suitable antennas / aperture portion antennas having a highest performance criterion for the communications. |
