PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce assembly fraction defective due to the wrong assembly of a fixed core 3 and a movable core 4 in an electromagnetic switch 1. SOLUTION: The fixed core 3 and the movable core 4 are identical, exchangeable objects having the same shape and dimensions in the electromagnetic switch 1, and the axial pluctuation of a rod 9 is regulated by a movable contact 7. By setting the fixed core 3 and the movable core 4 to be identical objects, the risk of erroneously assembling the fixed core 3 and the movable core 4 is eliminated, thus greatly reducing assembly fraction defective. Also, since the axial pluctuation of the rod 9 is regulated by the movable contact 7, the movable contact 7 can be smoothly displaced axially in linking with the movable core 4.
