PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic control method and a system distributing traffic at any section of a network path. SOLUTION: In the method of controlling traffic of electronic data, a switching device which transfers data to a reception terminal in a network, notifies transmission terminals by distributing transmission of non-urgent data, in a time zone when traffic is small; the transmission terminal stores the non-urgent data and the notified transmission time in a storage means, and transmits the stored data, when the notified transmission time is reached.
