PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker capable of preventing ignition of oil accumulated in a tray without requiring a cooling fan or a space for ventilation of cooling air, and capable of the optimum cooking of an object to be cooked. SOLUTION: The cooker includes the tray 8; a cooking compartment 1 for storing a grid 2 and the object 3 to be cooked on the grid 2; upper and lower surface heating means 4 and 5 for heating the upper and lower surfaces of the object 3 to be cooked; and a control means 10. If the temperature inside the cooking compartment 1 is higher than a prescribed temperature when the second cooking process is started after termination of the first cooking process in the serial cooking, the control means 10 controls the lower surface heating means 5 at such control temperature that the oil from the object 3 to be cooked is not ignited from the start through the termination in the second cooking process. With this structure, the cooling fan or the space for ventilation of cooling air is not necessary, and ignition of the oil accumulated in the tray in the serial cooking can be prevented. At the same time, such optimum cooking that the moisture and oil including delicious ingredients are sufficiently left inside the object to be cooked can be achieved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
