<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal display device capable of performing high-quality display with low power consumption with flickers prevented from being recognized. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes pixel electrodes 425, each having a reflective electrode region 424 and a transmissive electrode region 422, a liquid crystal layer 430, and a counter electrode 412 facing the pixel electrode via the liquid crystal layer. The pixel electrode defines a pixel P, and the pixel has a reflecting portion R defined by the reflective electrode region, and a transmissive portion T defined by the transmissive electrode region. The reflecting electrode region includes a reflective conductive layer and a transparent conductive layer disposed in the liquid crystal layer side of the reflective conductive layer; an interlayer insulating film 423 having an aperture is formed on the substrate; and the reflecting electrode region 424 is formed on the interlayer insulating film 423, while the transmissive electrode region 422 is formed inside the aperture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
