PRELIMINARY REPRODUCTION PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM AND SELECTED CONTENT PREDICTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a feeling of irritation of a user by shortening a stand-by time to be generated since a user instructs the reproduction of recorded content until the recorded content is displayed.

SOLUTION: This preliminary reproduction processing method includes steps of: detecting the relative position of a cursor displayed on a selection picture for selecting content to the selection picture; predicting content which is possibly selected by a user by using the position of the cursor as a reference, and starting necessary processing before starting reproduction about one or more predicted contents before the user performs an operation to select content.
