PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out such complicate surface working such as grain finish without deteriorating working precision or working efficiency. SOLUTION: In a machine tool having a main shaft head formed so as to be relatively movable to three-axial directions with respect to a work and an additional main shaft formed in the main shaft head so as to be movable to a Z-axial direction, the main shaft head is made to relatively move along a smoothed curved surface R smoothed in the moving direction of the additional main shaft with respect to a working surface S of the work with the moving amounts or less, and the additional main shaft is moved only by a difference between the working surface S and the smoothed curved surface R, so that the working of the working surface S by a tool T is carried out.
