PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer toner images from an image carrier to an intermediate transfer body and reversely transfer remaining toner from the intermediate transfer body to the image carrier in good balance when carrying out monochromatic print after carrying out full color print. SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: transferring the toner images from an intermediate transfer belt to a recording paper sheet by a reverse charging brush roll 24; then, applying charges of positive polarity to the remaining toner remaining on the intermediate transfer belt; carrying out the full color print by a main controller 24; then, controlling the reverse charging brush roll 24 so that a charge amount of the positive polarity applied to the remaining toner before carrying out the subsequent full color print again is larger than the charge amount of the positive polarity applied to the remaining toner before carrying out the subsequent monochrome print.
