PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device with a simple structure, having a car movable through two landings, and easily installed and maintained, without requiring a transfer during the movement. SOLUTION: A moving passage in which the car 12 moves, has first and second hoistways respectively extended upward from a first landing and a second landing, and a communicating part connecting upper end parts of the hoistways. A car guide rail has first and second rails 22 respectively extended in the communication part from the first and second hoistways. Guide devices 24, 25 have rotary support bodies 28, 32, and guide moving parts 29, 33 disposed to the rotary support bodies and moving on the car guide rails. The rotary support bodies are rotated in a normal direction by a movement of the guide moving parts from the first rail to the second rail, and are rotated in a reverse direction by a movement of the guide moving parts from the second rail to the first rail. Each guide device has an urging weight which can be displaced between first and second urging positions for urging the rotary support body in normal and reverse directions.
