PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material for a lure hook, which provides a lure hook having an appearance and a body color pattern that closely resembles those of real aquatic insects, etc., by a simple manufacturing method, and to provide a lure hook. SOLUTION: A thread 11 is wound on a fishhook; a cock neck fiber 12 is fixed to the fishhook; the appearance shape of the body part of a dun is formed, while twisting a dubbing material 13 on the thread 11; then the material 1 for a lure hook is wound on the surface of the dubbing material 13 to set the shape of the body part; subsequently, a hackle 14 and a feather 15 are attached to the chest part of the dun; the appearance shape of the body part of the dun is formed by the thread 11 twisted on the dubbing material 13; similarly the chest of the dun is formed, by winding the material 1 for a lure hook; and the thread 11 is wound on the hackle 14 and the feather 15 to regulate the overall shape.
