发明名称 Improved abrasion-resistant rubber articles, and method of manufacturing the same
摘要
464,655. Rubber articles. RESEARCH ASSOCIATION OF BRITISH RUBBER MANUFACTURERS, and SCOTT, J. R. Dec. 24, 1935, No. 35733. [Class 70] Rubber soles and heels, tyres, conveyer belting, brake linings &c., are made from calendered or extruded rubber so disposed that the wearing surface is inclined at a considerable angle (preferably a right-angle) to the plane of the sheet or direction of extrusion. The unvulcanized rubber mix may be extruded through a die having the shape of the article e.g. a sole, and then sliced, or sheets may be superposed, or rolled up and cut so that she exposed edges form the wearing surface. Alternatively, calendered unvulcanized sheet may be cut into transverse or longitudinal strips, Fig. 3, which are rotated through 90‹ and reunited ; or sheet may be folded on itself to form a thick sheet, Fig. 6. The wearing properties of the articles are further improved by the inclusion of anisotropic fillers, e.g. light magnesium carbonate, china clay or talc.
