OPTICAL DISC CONTROL APPARATUS AND OPTICAL DISC CONTROL METHOD

<p>In a case of using an external device to measure jitters of reproduced signals in an optical disc drive apparatus, not only no highly precise measurement can be achieved due to entering noise but also the cost of preparing the measuring device is required. There are included a jitter determining circuit (211) that determines the jitters of reproduced information signals from an optical disc; a buffer circuit (208) that stores jitter data; and a jitter data forwarding circuit (207) that forwards a jitter value determined by the jitter determining circuit (211) to the buffer circuit (208). A CPU (206) is used to control the jitter determining circuit (211) and jitter data forwarding circuit (207). Thus, a jitter measuring system for acquiring the jitters of the reproduced information signals from the optical disc can be realized in the optical disc control apparatus, so that no measuring device is required and a highly precise jitter measurement with no noise entering the measurement can be achieved.</p>
