A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to display a normal image on a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) by adjusting an address pulsewidth or/and a sustain pulsewidth when an input vertical synchronous signal is abnormal. A frame length calculator(210) receives a vertical synchronous signal from outside and calculates the length of one frame from the length of one period of the vertical synchronous signal. A set value memory(220) stores the calculated frame length. A comparator(230) compares the frame length from the frame length calculator with the frame length from the set value memory and outputs the difference between the two length values. An error detector(240) compares the difference value from the comparator with plural set ranges to determine the set range, where the difference value resides, and notifies a control step corresponding to the detected set range. A driving signal controller(250) receives the control step from the error detector and outputs a first control signal corresponding to the control step.
