A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to decrease a reflection brightness of a panel by absorbing the light to the PDP(Plasma Display Panel) from outside. A plasma display panel includes a front and rear substrates(15,10), an address electrode(11), a barrier rib(13), a resist layer, a dielectric electrode(16), and a front dielectric layer(17). The front and rear substrates are opposed to each other. The address electrode is formed on the rear substrate. The barrier rib is formed in a space between the front and rear substrates. The resist layer is formed on the barrier rib toward the front substrate and colored by a first color. The dielectric electrode is formed on the front substrate. The front dielectric layer covers the display electrode.
