A 3D PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) flowmeter and a measuring method thereof are provided to prevent pressure reduction of fluid by employing non-contact measuring method which does not interrupt the flow of fluid inside a tube. A 3D PIV flowmeter includes a laser unit(10) and a connection unit(20). The laser unit emits laser beam and the connection unit transfers the laser beam emitted from the laser unit. A lens unit(30) illuminates the laser beam to fluid flowing inside a pipe(P). An image obtaining unit(40), consisting of a first camera(40L) and a second camera(40R), takes images of fluid particle passing through the laser beam. A synchronization device unit(50) is connected to the image obtaining unit to synchronize the image signal. A data calculation unit(60) receives the image data from the image obtaining unit. |
