PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contaminated soil-cleaning system by washing which is conducted continuously and consistently in such a way that a charged contaminated soil is crushed, sorted, sieved and washed to reuse it as a washed soil while a waste soil and a contaminant are separated to discard out of a site. SOLUTION: The contaminated soil is decomposed while a cleaning agent and a return water are supplied, transferred to a sorting and washing process where the soil is sorted while the return water and a replenishing water are supplied here also. A part of the sorted soil is reused as the washed soil; the rest of the soil is sieved while receiving the return water to separate into the washed soil, the waste soil, and the contaminant; the waste soil is coagulated; and the contaminant is sieved. A dewatered water containing the contaminant is purified by a water-purifying apparatus including chemical, physical and bio-treatments to become the return water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
