PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle having a plurality of discharge openings through which a coating liquid can be uniformly discharged with no variation in coating, and a coating liquid-applying device and method using the nozzle, in particular, a coating liquid applying device, and to provide a method which enables the coating of a plurality of recesses forming a particular protrusion-recess pattern on a substrate such as a plasma display panel with an appropriate amount of a fluorescent paste in a desired uniformity when the fluorescent paste of a high viscosity is applied through a coating nozzle. SOLUTION: The nozzle comprises a coating liquid reservoir section for holding the coating liquid, a plurality of the discharge openings opened to the outside from inside of the coating liquid reservoir section and a plurality of coating liquid-feeding ports for feeding the coating liquid to the coating liquid reservoir section. The individual coating liquid-feeding ports are connected with a tournament type channel for branching the flow of the coating liquid from a coating liquid-feeding source arranged upstream to feed the coating liquid to the individual coating liquid-feeding ports.
