PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform practical parking support by taking into consideration an area causing interference with parking. SOLUTION: An image around one's own vehicle is picked up by cameras 2a-2d, a downward image is prepared from the picked-up image, and displayed (Step S1). When an occupant designates a parking position C and an entry-inhibited area to the displayed downward image (every determination in Steps S2, S4 and S5 is "Yes"), a track from a present position A to the parking position C for avoiding the entry-inhibited area is calculated (Step S6), and the calculated track is superpose-displayed on the downward image (Step S7). The track depicted by the projection of a vehicle body including the forward-backward changing position B and the parking position C is superposed and displayed on the downward image.
