A network printing method capable of restricting usage of a host and a network printer thereof are provided to solve inconvenience caused by manual setup of a right that a host can use a printer, and to prevent abuse of resources caused by wrong printing data. A network printing method comprises the following several steps. A network printer receives printing data from a host and processes the received printing data into printable data if receiving an ID and a printing job request signal from the host(S605-S620). The network printer checks whether there exists an error at the printing job while processing the printing data into the printable data(S625). If so, the network printer automatically registers the ID of the host at a usage restriction list(S630). If not, the network printer performs the printing job(S645,S650).
