The method involves connecting a cable retainer (3) with a spindle (4) of an actuating drive (2). The cable retainer is led out from a housing (2`), and an end of a cable is fixed at the cable retainer outside the housing by using a clip. The end of the cable is inserted into the cable retainer with a cylindrically formed cabling connection. A casing is moved over the cable retainer and fastened to the housing after the adjustment of the cable outside the housing.
