PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system capable of promptly and securely determining whether or not received identification information is applied to tire side transmitters-receivers installed in the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the tire air pressure monitoring system, a vehicle side transmitter-receiver 20 has a vehicle environment determination means 30 for determining whether or not vehicle environment is changed. When combinations of pieces of identification information which are received by a vehicle side receiving means 21 or stored by the vehicle side transmitter-receiver 20 before change of vehicle environment of the vehicle 1 and of which number is the same as that of the plurality of tire side transmitters-receivers 10 installed in the vehicle 1 are equal to combinations of pieces of identification information which are received by the vehicle side receiving means 21 after change of the vehicle environment of the vehicle 1 and of which number is the same as that of the plurality of tire side transmitters-receivers 10 installed in the vehicle 1, a vehicle control means 25 determines that the plurality of tire side transmitters-receivers 10 to which the identification information included in the combinations equal before and after the change of the vehicle environment of the vehicle 1 are applied are installed in the vehicle 1.
