PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a vehicle body rear structure sharing a driving source of a plurality of electric mechanisms arranged at a vehicle body rear part, excellent in a layout property and weight reduction. SOLUTION: The vehicle body rear structure comprises a rear seat 101, a lift gate 201 opening/closing a vehicle body rear surface opening portion, a baggage compartment extending to a rear side of the rear seat, and a baggage board 501 sliding in a vehicle body fore-and-aft direction on a baggage compartment floor. A board driving mechanism driving the baggage compartment board includes an electric motor; a vehicular widthwise transmitting element 505 transmitting rotating force of the electric motor in a vehicular width direction; a fore-and-aft transmitting element 506 engaged to the vehicular widthwise transmitting element to be driven, and transmitting the rotating force of the electric motor in the vehicle body fore-and-aft direction; and a slider 507 engaged to the fore-and-aft transmitting element to be driven, and converting the rotating force fo the electric motor to displacement in the vehicle body fore-and-aft direction.
