The apparatus for managing content includes a device manager module (210) sensing a connection with a portable digital device (702), an application module (220) forming at least one function module for manipulating the content stored in the sensed portable digital device in an independent frame, and a user interface module (230) displaying an object (720) indicating the connected portable digital device on a wallpaper (710), and if the object is selected, displaying the independent frame.
