<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology determining with low loads whether or not an image of an image data file is blurred. <P>SOLUTION: Photo image data PID having information on color of pixels and thumbnail image data of photo image data are prepared first. Then, specific pixels are selected from among pixels of the thumbnail image data. To be specific, on the basis of data of pixels to be considered and data of pixels adjacent to the pixels to be considered, it is determined whether or not the pixels to be considered become a specific pixels. With respect to a specific area Ape corresponding to the specific pixels of the thumbnail image data to be a part of an area of the image of the photo image data PID, the photo image data PID are analyzed to calculate the degree of partial blurring indicating ambiguity of an image in the specific area Ape.
