PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the pressing force of a piston appropriately by providing an inner shim plate with a through hole and an outer shim plate with a bridging part in positions to overlap each other. SOLUTION: A back metal 7 of a friction pad 5 is provided with the inner shim plate 10 and the outer shim plate 12 transmitting the pressing force of the piston 3 to the friction pad 5. The inner shim plate 10 is provided with the through hole 11 at a radial intermediate part located on the inlet side in the rotating direction of a disc D. The outer shim plate 12 is provided with the bridging part 13 located between an outer diameter side cutout part 12F and an inner diameter side cutout part 12G and extended to straddle the through hole 11. The through hole 11 and bridging part 13 can regulate the pressing force transmitted from the piston 3 to the friction pad 5, appropriately in the rotating direction and radial direction of the disc D to suppress a brake squeal or the like.
