PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of applying proper correction processing to an evening glow image or a morning glow image. SOLUTION: A correction apparatus includes: a target value acquisition section that demarcates a region expressed by each of histograms by each color into three or more small regions on the basis of data of each histogram by each color of pixels configuring an image, selects a small region whose density value is smaller than that of at least other one small region among the three or more small regions as a first small region by each color, selects a small region whose density value is smaller than that of the first small region among the three or more small regions as a second small region, acquires a target value by each color as to attribute information associated with the first small region and a target value shared in each color as to attribute information associated with the second small region on the basis of the acquired attribute information; and a correction processing section that applies correction processing to the image so that the attribute information of each color in the first small region respectively reaches the target value by each color and the attribute information of each color in the second small region respectively reaches the target value shared in each color.
