<p>A transformer, in particular an entirely cast resin transformer, includes at least one lower voltage winding and at least one upper voltage winding. The application of an electrical shielding around the upper voltage winding makes it possible to prevent a voltage disruptive discharge in such a way that the outer wall of the transformer can be touched by a person and also provides the transformer with electromagnetic shielding.
