[Class 89 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] Rivets are set by exploding a charge associated therewith, by heating the rivet. A charge 5, Fig. 1, is retained in a bore of a rivet 2 by a closure pin 5. A charge 5, Fig. 2, is contained in the inner end of a bore in the rivet. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, the charge is retained by a screwed member 1, Fig. 8 (Cancelled), forming the head of the rivet. Rivets are described which are also described in Specification 467,515 and rivets wherein the charge is retained by a closure, or a constriction in the rivet wall, at a point spaced from the end thereof. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
