A pipe cleaning device and a method for cleaning a pipe is provided to reduce water head loss by moving a high pressure water unit and a main body together and to reduce water consumption by reusing water without abrasive. A pipe cleaning device comprises a main body(10), an abrasive storing unit(22), a cleaning water storing unit(21), an attachment(30) with an injection unit, a high pressure water unit(40), a water jet unit(50), and a vacuum suction unit(60). The main body has a driving unit. The injection unit is connected with the main body to inject cleaning water with high pressure and abrasive. The high pressure water unit feeds cleaning water with high pressure and abrasive. The water jet unit includes a water jet unit main body, pipe contact unit, and a guide wheel. The vacuum suction unit is connected with the water jet unit to suck cleaning water and abrasive, injected to the water jet unit, through the injection unit. The high pressure water unit is combined to the main body to move together with the main body.
